Aston Villa 0-2 Wigan. Goals for Wigan from Rodallega and Koumas gave wigan a winning start to their season as aston villa were booed off by their fans

Emmanuel Adebayor and Steven Ireland both scored as Manchester City beat Blackburn 0-2 at Ewood Park

A 5th minute header from Darren Bent ensured Sunderland got the 3 points they needed on day 1 against bolton as they won 0-1 at the Reebok

A late 92nd minute winner from Dider Drogba handed Chelsea a 2-0 win against Hull, who’s steven hunt scored the 1st goal of the entire season after 27 minutes. Drogba equalised on 38

Everton suffered their worst opening day defeat ever after losing 1-6 at home to Arsenal. 2 goals from fabregas and one each from Denilson, Vermaelen, Gallas and Eduardo was too much for everton who’s only goal came late on from Louis Saha

Bobby Zamora scored the only goal as Fulham beat Portsmouth 0-1 at Fratton Park

Burnley kicked off their premierleague status by losing 2-0 away to Stoke City. Goals came from Ryan Shawcross and an own goal from Jordan  

Wolves, the other new boys also lost at home 0-2 to West Ham thanks to one goal in each half from Noble and Upson

Wanye Rooney’s first half tap-in ensured man u got the 3 points they wanted when they beat Birmigham 1-0 at Old Trafford

Liverpool started their season off with a 2-1 loss to Tottenham. Assou-Ekotto scored in the first half. Gerrard equalised with a penalty in the second half and then Bassong scored on his debut to win it for Spurs
