We are officially in a doctor who madzone on this internet, with loads of speculation, and now it travels to Entertainment24/7!
The Master
Rumors have gone on for a while that the Master is going to return. Apparently this was supposed to happen in Journey’s End as a short cameo, but then plans were changed to bring him back later, in a much bigger way.
There are all sorts of rumors about this flying about, so heres a list of them:
- The Master is allied with Harriet Jones… who isn’t dead, who’s been in league with the Master since The Stolen Earth, who may have even been the one who picked up his ring.
- Hes trying to be the saviour of the Time Lords.
- He’ll be in the Christmas 09 special.
- He’ll be returning with the Monk (another Time Lord) in the last special
- He appears, creates a new world and shows it to the Doctor, who responds in horror “but what about all the people!?”
- The Doctor and The Master both regenerate at the same time – neither wins, neither loses – but the how and why are a closely guarded secret.

RegnerationWe all know that the Doctor is regenerating at the end of the specials, but at the moment we have no idea how or why. Here are the rumors.
- He will battle the Master until one dies
- “Regeneration is a complicated process, and never as simple as it seems”
- The aborted regeneration in Journey’s End may have consequences in the specials… perhaps each incarnation can only do it one and the 10th Doctor has already used his…
Apparently RTD already has an idea of how he dies and may even know the Doctor’s second last line. But he hasn’t started writing the episode yet. X – The episode is now being filmed and is due to finish on the 22nd of May. Might actually catch some filming, if my parents take me 2 Cardiff, unlikely, i’m on holiday in London all of next week, 2 see Chelsea v Liverpool and Chelsea v Arsenal. STOP! Back to Doctor Who jack, back to earth!Patrick StewartPS has apparently been approached to play a Time Lord (Meddling Monk?) although this may not come about due to time restraints and availability. This will either be in the specials, or in series 5An apparent snippet of PS opening scene was divulged which involved the Doctor appearing on a mysterious planet where he encounters a PS like figure who announces “This is the game of Rassilon… welcome home Doctor”Someone else added that the Doctor’s response to this was “What are you playing at Mortimus!?” (aka the Monk)

According to sources, David Tennants was in floods of tears for a few days when he found out how and why he regenerates. Also, apprantly something does go wrong because of the ‘half-regeneration’ in The Stolen Earth but works in the end. Also, if the ‘half-regeneration’ counts as a regeneration, Matt Smith will be the last Doctor as the time lords have a maximum of twelve lives unless he cheats like the master did and steal peoples souls by killing people which i cant see the doctor doing personally.

Nostalgia’s End (suggested) (apparently Rose and her half doctor are in this and they’ve been busy makin babies (also it is rumoured that everyone is in the episode (mickey, rose, martha, donna, wilf, sylvia, the brig, sarah jane, luke, half doctor, master, dalek, cyberman, ice warrior, slitheen, shadow proc. judoon and loads more)
Series 5 (Pure rumour(but possibly true)-
About Time (1000 yr old doctor. male and female companion who fancy eachother. some bad things happening in parks around london.)
The Dust of stars (astrid peth returns. she finds a way to merge with Tardis. It’s taken her about 100 of his years to work it out. She needs to warn the doctor about an impending disaster from the centre of the galaxy. )
Scherzo (Time is cracking and the doctor and companions fall into a universe with different laws of science etc.)
Family Reunion (Jenny is back. Doctor-lite episode. she discovers a world shifted out of phase with the rest of the universe. She finds that her symbiotic nucleii allows her access and discovers Time Lords frozen in time. She finds a way of tracing active Tardises but it leads her to discover other bad things (a crazy monk time lord).)
Time of the Zygons & Loch Ness Monsters (zygons take control of a black hole in the centre of the galaxy. They experiment with time travel and discover how to grow almost anything in a fraction of the time. In minutes they have a Zygon army, ready to take over the galaxy with the help of a zetronic beam. Uh Oh)
Fractured Time & Merlin? ( people from doctor’s past return to haunt him. a black hole is causing ruptures in space time, allowing universes to bleed through from alternative realities. big risk of Doctor being sucked into one permanently.)
Ice Time? (Doctor is stuck in king arthur’s court in alternate reality. Brig and unit try to rescue him with cool tech.)
The Fans of Death (Martha returns. People around the world are being found dead in locked rooms, in places no one would ever be able to get to. The only thing suspicious in the room is an electric fan. after being trapped in an alternate reality for hundreds of years, the Doctor is in no condition to help. He relys on his friends and UNIT to battle some cool creature that manipulates metal. )
Christmas Special-
The End of Time (11th Doctor catches a cold and it causes a temporary regeneration. He turns into a woman. Rumoured to be played by Jennifer Saunders.)
